R: Because that is what separate flex-mojos from the alternatives.

A: Why not just configure a flex.home path and look up all the jars and swc relative to that ?
R: Exactly because of that.  On flex-mojos you don't need to configure environment before build.  That is why I use maven.  I don't need to setup my machine to get it working.

A: This would make it possible to change the sdk without having to touch any poms ?
R: And why that is a good thing?  Just produces inconsistencies and unpredictable builds.

A: My Flex code uses charting which is only available with the professional license, Can I use flex-mojos with the prof. sdk ?
